Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 June 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Marsdrop, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The service

Marsdrop lets you encrypt a file in your browser and share it via a link or a direct peer-to-peer transfer. We provide the service on a best-effort basis and may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Marsdrop to store, send, or share content that:

  • is illegal, or infringes anyone's rights;
  • contains malware, or is intended to harm, defraud, or deceive;
  • harasses, threatens, or exploits others, including any content involving minors;
  • violates the privacy or intellectual-property rights of others.

Because files are encrypted, we can't see their contents — but where we're given a valid abuse report or are legally required, we may revoke a drop and delete its metadata.

4. Limits

Free use is subject to limits, including a maximum file size and a maximum retention period (the expiry you select). We may adjust these limits to keep the service running and to prevent abuse.

5. No warranty

Marsdrop is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that files will always be available — keep your own copy of anything important.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marsdrop and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data.

7. Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to the service for anyone who violates these terms or abuses the platform.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
